Description
Alex Raymond Flash Gordon/Jungle Jim Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-18-39 (King Features Syndicate, 1939). It's long been known that Flash Gordon was one of the many formative influences on George Lucas' Star Wars. And that is not hard to see in Panel 3. However, every panel on this Sunday is simply glorious! They are all big, bold, and full of detail. The Sunday also comes with the matching topper Jungle Jim strip. They were created in ink with red ink key lines over graphite on two illustration boards with a combined image area of 24" x 31".
