The stunning Flash Gordon Sunday strip is from the first pages of the "Return to Earth" storyline, after Flash's showdown with Emperor Ming on the planet Mongo, and his return to Earth. Olga, the niece of a treacherous scientist, takes center stage, viciously luring Flash into a trap, ensuring his capture by her accomplices. Alex Raymond's flawless brushwork and signature elegance are, as always, breathtaking. This page highlights his exceptional skill in depicting female characters with striking realism, whether in dynamic action sequences or seductive poses. This episode is accompanied by its equally striking, matching Jungle Jim strip. Both stories are rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board. The Flash Gordon strip has an image area of 15.75" x 12.75", while the Jungle Jim strip measures 15.75" x 7". A beautiful set not to be missed! Pinholes in the corners.
