Description

Al Taliaferro Donald Duck Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-28-66 (King Features Syndicate, 1966). Donald and Daisy spend the day engaging in various sports activities after the doctor diagnoses Donald with "sittis". However, his feathers are soon ruffled as Daisy continually bests him at every turn. Legendary artist Al Taliaferro, who joined Walt Disney Studios in 1931 as an inker, later transitioned to newspaper comic strips, where he played a pivotal role in solidifying Donald Duck's status as one of Disney's most beloved characters. This tale is rendered in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image size of 21.5" x 14.5", matted and plexiglass-front framed at 31" x 23.75". Stat opening panel paste-up, toning, blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout corrections, and handling wear. Presents in Very Good condition.
