Description
Al Smith (Signing as Bud Fisher) Mutt and Jeff Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-10-47 (Bell Syndicate, 1947). This gag is the kiss of death for Jeff! It's titled "You Can See Jeff Loves His Work". Al Smith began ghosting on this strip in 1932, and began signing his own name after Bud Fisher passed in 1954. This Sunday was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 24" x 16". The syndicate strip is discolored, and the page is lightly toned, with marginal stains and light soiling. Overall, in Very Good condition.Auction Info
