Al Capp Li'l Abner Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-1-53 (United Feature Syndicate, 1953). Li'l Mickey Looney may be crazy -- then again, with these ideas on getting the government out of debt, maybe not! Capp's wit is razor-sharp in this Sunday, drawn in ink, graphite, and blue pencil on Bristol board. Each tier of panels has been drawn on a separate piece of board; each piece has been taped (front and back, using clear and masking tape) to combine into an approximate image area of 19" x 21.75". The top masthead panel is missing, as are many examples from this era. Overall Very Good condition.Auction Info
