Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-22-83 (United Feature Syndicate, 1983). This six-bonk pop fly is really a double-play! First off, it is a Peanuts baseball strip that was personalized by Charles Schulz as a gift to Wes Parker, the very slick first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1964-1972). It is also a very funny baseball-themed Peanuts strip featuring almost all of the Charlie Brown All-Stars (Lucy Van Pelt, Linus Van Pelt, Snoopy, Pig-Pen, Violet, Schroeder, and 5 -- his name was 555 95472, or "5" for short). Introduced in 1963, this was 5's last appearance in the series. The Sunday is produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.5" x 15". The logo is a paper paste-up. Matted and Plexiglas front framed to 32.5" x 22.5". The art is in Excellent condition.
