    Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty Original Art dated 5-4-75 (United Feature Syndicate, 1975). Charlie Brown is at the "contemplation wall" again... this time with Peppermint Patty instead of Linus. It's a subtle, introspective piece that goes over Patty's head. The charming piece was personalized and signed in the top tier as: "For Garry with Friendship - Sparky". This one is a double-whammy, as Schulz only signed as "Sparky" for family and friends, and the Garry so indicated is none other than fellow cartoonist Garry Trudeau (creator of Doonesbury). This Sunday was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.5" x 15.25". The syndicate strip in the last panel is discolored and slightly loose and ripped. Signed in the last panel also. The logo is a paste-up. In Excellent condition. From the Garry Trudeau Collection.
