    Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-21-69 (United Feature Syndicate, 1969). This day's gag was pretty funny in the first place, but double-funny when you realized that Charles Schulz gifted the original art to his close friend, poet Rod McKuen! It is personalized "To Rod with friendship and every good wish -- Sparky". The piece is produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 27" x 5.5". Like most strips of this size, it has been folded vertically between the panels. The board is tanned, with minor handling, and a little bit of warping due to the amount of black ink on the page. Overall in Very Good condition. From the Estate of Rod McKuen.
