    Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Classic Snoopy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-11-56 (United Feature Syndicate, 1956). The key to a timeless newspaper comic strip classic is established in the memories held by those who read them. Peanuts, by the late Charles M. Schulz, is perhaps the most fondly-remembered strip in history. The image area of this peak-period daily, starring the beloved beagle, Snoopy, in every panel, measures approximately 27" x 5.5". It's one of the few croquet-themed artworks we've ever sold, players of that refined sport take note! Aside from the usual fold between panels two and three (typical with the early dailies) and some overall paper aging, the ink on Bristol art is in Very Good condition. This fifties era show-stopper was inscribed and signed in panel two, but the writing has faded -- to the point of nearly being invisible -- but upon close inspection, it's there.
