Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella Mystery In Space #1 "Nine Worlds To Conquer" Complete 10 Page Story Original Art (DC, 1951). Yow! We may run out of adjectives to describe this one! This is the complete lead (and cover featured) story from the very first issue of Mystery In Space. This title would feature some of the craziest and coolest science fiction to come out of comic books in the 1950s. Space Cabbie, Adam Strange, and Space Ranger would all appear in this title. This story is written by Robert Kanigher (as Anthony Dion) with some amazing art by Carmine Infantino. This is the first appearance of the Knights of the Galaxy (aka the Galaxy Knights). But if all of that were not enough, there are many sketch and inked drawings in the margins and backs of the pages that are simply mind-blowingly cool! This story from a 1950s DC key issue is a treasure! We have never offered a complete Infantino MiS story before, and this is his first one ever! Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". Overall tanning with edge/corner wear. Part of the Mystery In Space paste-up header is missing from page one, as is a bit of the top right corner. Water damage in the margin of a couple of pages. Overall these pages are in Very Good condition.
