Carl Barks Uncle Scrooge #61 Story Page 13 Original Art (Gold Key, 1966). Only a tiny percentage of Barks' comic book output survives, as the majority was destroyed by the publisher. Among them was "So Far and No Safari", the story that includes this page, featuring the nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, riding hippos to rescue Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck from crocodiles. Rendered in ink over graphite on two sections of Bristol board with a combined image area of 16" x 23.25", making it considerably larger than even the "twice-up" scale pages that Golden and Silver Age collectors are used to! Slightly toned with tape on the back, residue and staining, with light handling wear. Signed by Barks in the lower margin. In Very Good condition.
