Description
Carl Barks The Lemonade King Preliminary Original Art (Whitman, 1960). Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge are featured in this two-page layout for the children's storybook. Barks roughed out this sketch for artist Norm McGary to use to create the painted illustrations featured in the published book. This layout was rendered in blue pencil on vellum, with an approximate image area of 16.5" x 9", and matted to an overall 21.25" x 14". Signed by Barks at the lower right.
