    Description

Bob Montana Jackpot Comics #6 Archie Story Page 2 Original Art (MLJ/Archie, 1942). Wise guy Reggie Mantle gets a face full of mud courtesy of Archie, in this early page (by our rough count, this was from the twelfth Archie story), from a story about our freckle-faced hero entering his jalopy in a race. This is one of the first appearances of that slick-haired stinker Reggie. The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 13" x 18.25". There's a bit of soiling and handling wear; overall condition is Very Good. But to paraphrase all those annoying TV ads, "Wait -- that's not all!" Flip the artboard over, and you'll find a huge pastel chalk sketch of Archie's best pal, Jughead! This was probably not done by Montana, but it's super-cool!
