    Bill Griffith Zippy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-23-17 (King Features Syndicate, 2017). This "artsy" strip from one of the best of the Underground artists originally ran in the alternative press. In 1986 it was picked up by King Features, and at one time it appeared in over 200 newspapers. Zippy was inspired in part by the microcephalic characters in the 1932 film Freaks. In this episode, titled "Pass the Taco Sauce" The Pinheads sit down to a traditional Dingburg Thanksgiving dinner of a 20 pound Jell-o mold, glue sticks, and DIng-Dong Flambé. The ink over graphite on Bristol board strip has an image area of 12.75" x 4.75", and is in Excellent condition. Proceeds from the winning bids in this special NCS "Thanks & Giving Auction" will go to the "Direct Relief" charity, benefiting victims of recent natural disasters.
