    Description

Bernie Wrightson The Witching Hour #3 Story Page 6 (DC Comics, 1969). This page is among the very earliest of Bernie Wrightson's published work. It's sword and sorcery in the style of his "Nightmaster" from the same period, full of wonderful fluidity and rich detail in the inks. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, there is a stripped-in text correction taped from the back, adhesive residue from a partially missing "continued" paste-up, and blue pencil marginal marks. Comes with a copy of the printed comic. Art is signed by Bernie Wrightson in the lower margin, and is in Very Good condition. From the Estate of Jeff Gorrell.
