    Description

Bernie Wrightson Swamp Thing #7 Story Page 4 Batman Original Art (DC, 1973). One of the most memorable issues of a memorable series thanks to the Batman crossover. There are some nice tribute pieces to this page. Note the last panel, an homage to Panel 2 of the first story from Detective Comics #31 from 1939. Also, Faithful Alfred appears for a cameo in Panel 5 looking much like Alan Napier from the TV Batman series of the mid-60s. A missing art correction paste-up would have him looking more like John Cleese on the printed page. This page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The page is signed by writer Len Wein and artist Bernie Wrightson in the top margin. There is a stripped-in text correction and the missing art correction paste-up has left glue residue. Overall toning. In Very Good condition.
