Barry Windsor-Smith and Bob Layton X-O Manowar #1 Page 14 Aric of Dacia Original Art (Valiant, 1992). X-O Manowar was one of the four founding titles of the Valiant Heroes universe. The series was one of the tent-pole titles for Valiant. Sometimes lovingly referred to by fans as "Conan-in-a-Can," it was a bit of a mash-up of Conan and Iron Man. That comparison was easy to make with artist from both Marvel titles working on X-O. Barry Windsor-Smith provided the original layouts for this issue, and it was finished by Bob Layton. Jon Holdredge assisted with the inks. This page has been further "enhanced by BWS." Windsor-Smith has touched-up the inks slightly even after publication, because he's that kind of a perfectionist with his work. The page is signed by him in the second panel. Produced in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.25". In Excellent condition.
