    Description

    Arthur Rackham Illustration Original Art (C.1890s). Two sailors greet each other on this undated illustration, most likely from early in Arthur Rackham's career. Rackham is best known for his work during the Golden Age of British book illustration, drafting line work for literary classics such as The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, Rip van Winkle, Gulliver's Travels, and A Christmas Carol. Crafted in ink and ink wash over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 6.25" x 9.75" with an overall glass front frame size of 15" x 19". Signed by Arthur Rackham in the image area. In Excellent condition.
