Alex Ross Marvels #3 Painted Splash Page 30 Original Art (Marvel, 1994). Alex Ross was voted "Favorite Painter" in the CBG Fan Awards for so many years running that they simply retired the award. This page is from Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross' astonishing re-telling of the history of the Marvel Universe from the point of view of the "average guy". A compelling piece picturing a fateful meeting between the Fantastic Four and Galactus, at the point when his herald, the Silver Surfer, decided to aid Humanity instead of helping destroy it. A key moment in Marvel history with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. The fully painted page was created in gouache over graphite on art paper with an image area of 11.75" x 17.5". Signed in the lower left of the image area. In Excellent condition.
