    Description

Alex Raymond Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip Panel Original Art dated 11-24-35 (King Features Syndicate, 1935). For many collectors, Alex Raymond brought an unparalleled feeling of romance to Flash Gordon with his superlative drybrush inking and dynamic composition. Raymond combined such fantasy elements as futuristic gadgets with Arthurian costumes and alien animals. The lettering was presumably on elements that became separated from the art at some point. This awesome panel, drawn in ink over graphite on board, has an approximate image area of 8" x 12.5". It has been matted and framed with Plexiglas to an overall size of 14" x 18.5", and is in Excellent condition.
