    Description

Alex Nino - Original Pin Up Art for Savage Sword of Conan #228 (Marvel, 1994). Production notes on the back of this art read: "Savage Sword of Conan #228 cover 4". This may indicate that the art was intended as a preliminary cover concept design for the final, printed cover, or perhaps it was used as an interior illustration. Whatever the case, this is a beautifully cross hatched Alex Nino drawing of Conan battling shadowy, demonic wraiths. The very fabric of reality is unravelling beneath the barbarian's feet. The overall paper size measures 14" x 17". There is a moderate use of white-out on Conan's legs and torso. Signed at the mid-left of the design.
