Al Williamson Tales from the Crypt #31 Story Page 5 Original Art (EC, 1952). A key page in the story "The Thing In the 'Glades!" Old Ezzard first warns off the sheriff and says they will never take his son from him, later he returns after being attacked by his son and he dies at the Sheriff's feet... as something horrific bursts from the underbrush! That last panel is just awesome. This is a great example of the kind of quality horror tales that EC was producing in their heyday. The page is produced in ink over graphite, with blue pencil shading, on EC Bristol board, with an image area of 13" x 18". Slight toning with some handling wear, and one of the figures in Panel 4 is on a separate piece of board pasted onto the page; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
