    Description

Al Sirois and Wally Wood House of Mystery #251 Complete Story Preliminary Original Art with Letter and Self Portrait Group of 11 (DC, 1977). A wonderful typed letter from Al Sirois provides the provenance and explains the origin of these prelim pages. There are nine pages of drawings that were originally intended for a story in DC's PLOP!, before it was canceled in 1976. The story eventually saw print a year later in HoM. The pages were created from Sirois' blue pencils with Wood's graphite work over that on 8.5" x 11" typing paper. Also included is what appears to be a graphite self-portrait of Sirois on 12.5" x 10.5" 3-peghole animation paper. There is a stain on this drawing. Overall they are all in Very Good condition.
