Al Jaffee MAD #521 Unpublished Inside Back Cover Fold-In Illustration Painting Original Art (EC, 2013).
The only Jaffee fold-in to be pulled by MAD! The image asks "What inevitable sequel already has many people sick to their stomachs?", with the hidden image revealing a mass shooting. Jaffee's social commentary was cancelled because it coincided with the planned beginning of the court trial of Aurora, CO movie theater shooter James Holmes. Rendered in Gouache on illustration board with an image size of 14.25" x 13.75". The artwork has a plastic overlay with the joke text taped to the top edge, making the total image size 14.25" x 18.25". Smudging in the top and bottom margins and signed by Jaffee in the bottom woman's "blouse". In Excellent condition. From the Al Jaffee Junk Shop Collection.
