Al Feldstein Weird Science #6 Cover Original Art (EC, 1951). What kind of strange creatures live on that "mystery planet" Venus? Well, for kids in the early 1950s, they looked like... this! EC's glorious Science Fiction line was going full steam by the time of this sixth issue, which features a bizarre vision of the mist-shrouded planet up-close, courtesy of series editor Al Feldstein. Feldstein excelled in this type of other-worldly image, and he pulls no punches on this famous cover. The art is in India and red ink, with an image area of 13.5" x 19.5". The logo and type stats are recent replacements. There are a few scattered stains along the bottom of the image area and in the outer borders, but really nothing that takes away from the art, which is otherwise in Excellent condition. This beauty has been tucked away in Jerry Weist's private collection for years, but is now available for consideration as the centerpiece of your own collection -- if you place the right bid! From the Jerry Weist Collection.
