    Description

Superman (Columbia, 1948). Three Sheet (41" X 81").After almost ten years Columbia studios was able to negotiate a deal with DC Comics to bring the "Man of Steel" to the screen. Though Paramount/Fleischer had produced some wonderful cartoon episodes with the character, this would be the first screen appearance of a live-action Superman. The 15 episode serial begins with the origin of the character on the planet Krypton, and evolves into a story of an evil Spider Lady out to destroy the city of Metropolis. Many consider this three sheet to be the best poster from the serial. Very Fine+ on Linen.
