Beast From 20,000 Fathoms (Warner Brothers, 1953). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Of all the science fiction material Heritage has auctioned in the last two years, this is the first time that we have had this One Sheet! This is one of the very rare posters from this era. As a result of an arctic nuclear test, a carnivorous dinosaur thaws out and starts making its way down the east coast of North America. This was the first of the giant creature features, and Ray Harryhausen's effects were totally believable. Directed by former Production Designer, Art Director Eugene Lourie, who later directed "Colossus of New York" and "The Giant Behemoth." The condition of this poster must be seen to be believed.
