Skyrocket, The (Associated Exhibitors, 1926). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This film was meant as a showcase for Peggy Joyce Hopkins, who was "infamously" known as a "golddigger" and "showgirl" with no decernable talent other than to marry and divorce wealthy men, thus ending each association with a healthy settlement. She is best remembered for her role playing herself in "International House" with a brief romantic entanglement involving her character with W.C. Fields. This film, though the names are changed, was really just a parody of Hopkins herself which the producers felt would turn a good profit just on the notoriety of her name. She was the model for Anita Loos' anti-heroine of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", Lorelei Lee. "I may be expensive," Peggy once remarked, apropos of the wealthy husbands she acquired and discarded so lightly, "but I deliver the goods." Very Fine/Rolled.
