    Description

Harem Knight, A (Pathe', 1926). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Ben Turpin, the silent cinema's cross-eyed comic, began his career at Essanay Studios in Chicago as part-time utility comedian and part-time studio janitor. He later graduated to playing opposite Essanay's newest comedian Charlie Chaplin. From the late teens up until his retirement in the late twenties, Turpin was always at the top of his game with his spectacular physical comedy. Offered here is a gorgeous stone lithograph one sheet to a comedy he did with director Eddie Cline. Cline would later go on to direct W.C. Fields in his greatest screen comedies. Very Fine+ on Linen.
