    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (Mirage Studios, 1984) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This ranks #1 on Overstreet's Top 25 Copper Age Comics list by a longshot over the rest of the list. And its popularity and auction results have never been hotter. This copy has been signed by both Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, and a sketch is on the inside cover. In this grade, expect a flurry of bidding action! Herein is the origin and first appearances of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Splinter, and Shredder. The wraparound cover is by Kevin Eastman, with Eastman and Peter Laird providing the story and art. And the issue is rare to boot -- only 3,000 copies were printed. CGC notes, "'Kevin Eastman', 'Peter Laird' & sketch written on interior cover in pen." Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $8,000. CGC census 3/21: 50 in 9.6, 28 higher.
