The Amazing Spider-Man #252 Newsstand Edition JSA Authentic Autograph: Jim Shooter (Marvel, 1984) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. Spider-Man dons new black costume. Marvel Team-Up #141 and Spectacular Spider-Man #90 came out two weeks after this issue and are tied for the second appearance; this is the true first appearance of the black costume in a regular title. Amazing Fantasy #15 cover swipe by Ron Frenz and Klaus Janson. Story art by Frenz and Brett Breeding. CGC notes, "Jim Shooter Authenticated Autograph." Currently tied for #24 on Overstreet's list of Top 25 Copper Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $225.
