Description
Thorn: Tales From the Lantern #nn Remarqued and Signed Copy (Jeff Smith, 1983) Condition: FN. Jeff Smith's Bone characters appeared in this collection years before the Bone comic book came out. This small-print rarity (just 1,000 copies were produced by one account) collects Smith's cartoons from the Ohio State University newspaper. These strips led directly to Smith creating his multi-award-winning comic book series, Bone. Signature, salutation and sketch by Jeff Smith on the title page. Has a spine crease and spine adhesive split with some interior page tanning. Page 95 has staple holes at the top. While CGC has encapsulated copies of this book in the past, at present they are currently not accepting copies for submissions due to the unusual format, therefore we are offering this copy uncertified. Not listed in Overstreet, but take note that a NM 9.6 copy sold at the end of November (2025) for a lofty $12,000! So look for some spirited bidding when this solid mid-grade copy crosses our auction block.Auction Info
