    Description

    Wooden Cigar Store Indian (c. 1970s). The original Old Knife Makers Shop was built in 1953 on Market Street. It was originally called The Box House as it was originally built out of boxes. Today the Overland Gun Shop occupies that location. The sign out front reads, "Overland Gun Shop Buffalo Guides and Trapper Supplies." In front of this store is a handsome hand-carved and hand-painted Indian Chief. He stands 75" tall, and the impressive headdress is 45" long. A beautiful piece of woodwork, carved by the father of Frank Gallagher, who is the current carver at the Knife Store and whose carvings are for sale. Minor age from in-park display, overall Very Good condition.
