    Walter Knott Awards and Citations Group of 22 (c. 1960s-70s). Walter Knott (1889 - 1981) was an American farmer who, along with his family, built an empire with his Knott's Berry Farm. He was a man who gave back to his community and to many charitable endeavors in which he believed in. This is an amazing collection of awards, citations, tributes, and certificates of thanks and merit in all shapes and sizes, each made out to Walter Knott. Included in this lot are awards from The National Restaurant Association, Boys Club of America, The State of Texas Honorary Citizen, Distinguished American from KABC Radio Los Angeles, First Annual Artist Round-Up, Tribute to a Great American from the Orange County's Independent Pageant, American Revolution Award from the Bicentennial Commission of California, Barstow Kiwanis, United Republicans of California Conference, Orange County Federation of Republicans, La Habra Lions International, City of Buena Park Resolution, Honorary Member Resolution from the Southern Council of Conservation Clubs and Santa Ana Chapter of Izaak Walton League of America, American Patriot Hall of Fame Award, International Assistance Corps, American Airlines, Department of Army, Boys Club of Buena Park, International Distinguished Service Award, an Award of Merit from La Habra Chamber of Commerce, and Honorary Citizen of Houston, Texas. WOW! What a collection of awards for Mr. Knott. A nice photo of Walter and Cordelia Knott circa 1960s-70s is included as well. All have minor handling and wear from display and age. Good overall condition.
