    Description

Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort Room Display Map (Walt Disney, 1971). Featuring an early illustration of Walt Disney World, including the unrealized Asian hotel and Venetian hotel, these printed oversized maps were displayed in hotel rooms at the Contemporary Resort and Polynesian Resort in the early days of Walt Disney World. Upon their removal, they were sold to Disney cast members as scrap pieces of masonite. Fortunately, a few survived unscathed. The present example, still featuring its original frame, is in the best condition we've seen, showing minimal signs of wear from its display, removal, or subsequent storage. The map that sparked many a dream of Walt Disney World, it is framed with an enormous overall frame size of 61" x 49" with a window of 59" x 47". This impressive piece is huge! The frame sold as is, and the condition is Very Good.
