Pokémon VS Tropical Mega Battle Complete Deck (Pokémon, 2002) CGC Graded. Holy Grail Alert! Offered here is a complete VS Tropical Mega Battle from 2002! That's correct, we said COMPLETE! In 2002, Jon Brooks became 1 of 3 kids from the United States to be invited by The Pokémon Company to compete in the Tropical Mega Battle (TMB) held in Hawaii. During that event, the company awarded Jon this very deck! Since each of the 12 kids who played in the TMB was awarded the deck in their native language, this English deck is 1 of only 3 given out to the players! All 30 cards have been authenticated and graded by CGC; please refer to the above images for individual grades. Please note: Although CGC's specific policy on how they date cards allows them to certify only Claire's Mantine as 2002, and the rest of the deck as 2001-2002, there's overwhelming evidence that this deck is, in fact, from the 2002 TMB. The pedigree of this deck is flawless; we have Jon's invitation to the Tropical Mega Battle (not included, but an image of the letter can be viewed on www.ha.com), pictures of Jon at the tournament, and the 2002 Clair's Mantine, easily identifiable because it is the only card in the deck that had a correction from the 2001 version. We'd also like to note that the 2002 TMB was the last before the name and format changed becoming the World Championships. The importance of this being the complete deck and it being from the final TMB cannot be overstated. This is a true must-have for any serious collector.
