Description

Pokémon Trophy Pikachu No. 3 Trainer Blastoise Mega Battle CGC Authentic (Media Factory, 1998) Signed and Sketched by Mitsuhiro Arita. A true holy grail is offered here--the No. 3 Trainer prize card, commonly referred to as one of the Pikachu Trophy cards! These stunning prize cards made their debut in 1997 at the Japanese Pokémon Card Game Official Tournament, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from June 14th to 15th. Those who placed first, second, and third received versions of the Pikachu Trophy card, which features an adorable illustration of Pikachu holding up a gold, silver, or bronze trophy cup, done by famed Pokémon artist Mitsuhiro Arita. They feature the original Pocket Monsters TCG logo at the bottom right corner, which was intended only to be used on the rarest of all Pokémon cards. This specific copy is from the 1998 Blastoise Mega Battle, where an estimated 14 copies were awarded. With this card being such a special piece of Pokémon TCG history, could it possibly get any better? Well, it's been signed by Mitsuhiro Arita himself! Done in gold ink and dated 20-1-24, Arita didn't just sign the card, he also drew an adorable sketch of Pikachu. CGC has authenticated the card and the autograph, with this being one of only two copies certified by CGC. Truly the rarest of the rare! This card would certainly be the centerpiece of any collection, so don't miss this chance to make it yours!
