Pokémon Japanese No Rarity Symbol Base Set Group of 81 with 8 CGC Graded (Media Factory, 1996) Raw Average Condition: Lightly Played. Offered in this lot is a group of cards cards from the set that started it all--the Japanese Base Set! Released in 1996, Base Set kicked off the beginning of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which is one of the most popular card games to this day almost 30 years later. Cards in this set were released in two versions: those with rarity symbols and those without. The cards without rarity symbols are believed by many to be what would be considered the "first edition" print run. Offered in this lot is a group of 81 cards from the No Rarity Symbol release of the Japanese Base Set! Please note that only 1 holographic card is included. Of the 81, 8 have been graded by CGC: Bulbasaur 001 (NM/Mint+ 8.5), Ivysaur 002 (Mint 9), Charmander 004 (Mint 9), Charmeleon 005 (NM/Mint+ 8.5), Nidorino 033 (Pristine 10), Clefairy 035 (Near Mint+ 7.5), Poliwhirl 061 (NM/Mint+ 8.5), and Kadabra 064 (Mint 9). Also included are 6 raw cards which do include the rarity symbol: Pidgeotto 017, Chansey 113, Electrode 101, Clefairy Doll, Item Finder, and Devolution Spray.
