Magic: The Gathering Limited Edition (Alpha) Sealed Starter Deck (Wizards of the Coast, 1993). Released on August 5th, 1993, Limited Edition (Alpha) was the very first set released for the Magic: The Gathering card game. Offered here is a Starter Deck from the Alpha Edition! How do we know it's an Alpha Edition deck, you ask? Well, that's because it does not have a bar code at the bottom of the box. Upon printing Beta Edition decks, bar codes were added at the bottom. Inside, you might find a Black Lotus, Timetwister, Mox, or any of the other Power Nine cards! The deck contains a total of 60 cards. The box has lightly blunted corners with the wrapping intact.
