Magic: The Gathering Artist Proof Black Lotus Limited Edition (Beta) BGS NM 7/Auto 9 (Wizards of the Coast, 1993) Signed by Richard Garfield. Featured here is a card that will instantly become the centerpiece of any Magic: The Gathering collector's collection: a Limited Edition (Beta) Artist Proof Black Lotus. These types of cards have a blank back with standard card fronts and allow artists to see what the card will look like once printed. This particular copy is even more special than a typical Artist Proof because it has been signed by Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: The Gathering! The rarity of these cards cannot be overstated, as very few are known to exist in the community, especially with signatures from the most influential figure in the trading card game. The signature has been authenticated by BGS and graded Auto 9. The card itself has received the following sub-grades: centering (6.5), corners (8), surface (9), and edges (8.5).
