1990 Impel - Marvel Universe - Series 1 Trading Cards - Sealed (36 packs)The 1990 Impel Marvel Universe collection boasts a comprehensive 162-card checklist, with the first half spotlighting individual superheroes and the latter half delving into teams, iconic rivalries, and celebrated comic book stories. Reflecting influences from the sports card industry, this set includes six "rookie" cards highlighting newly introduced or revamped Marvel properties. At the time, the concept of card inserts was just gaining traction, with holograms being the coveted finds in the 1990 Impel Marvel Universe series. These hologram cards, five different types in total, were typically found once per box.
The 36 pack sealed box of this collection is in good shape, despite minor wear and tear around the edges and corners, notably at the bottom right corner. Additionally, there's slight folding on the lower side of the top panel. This box of cards would significantly enhance any Marvel card enthusiast's collection.
