The Art of Animation Book Rough Draft and Related Items Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1958). Here's a great lot for the Disney historian. First is the rough draft file copy of the Bob Thomas landmark book on Walt Disney animation called The Art of Animation, dated 6/27/57. It is just over 200 pages, in a bound folder of 9.5" x 11.5". Also in this lot is the first draft of this book, first proposed by Don Graham: a photocopied draft in a black binder with a dyno label that reads "Art of Animation Don Graham." Inside shows a date of July 20, 1955. This first draft was reportedly too technical, and the job for the book was given to Bob Thomas. The rough draft Graham version is approximately 225 pages. The final interesting document in this lot is a studio 6-page document that outlines "The Art of Animation" Art Exhibit that the studio did at the time of the Bob Thomas book's publication. This typed document it reads "The Art of Animation - A Walt Disney Retrospective Exhibit." All three documents have minor handling and edge wear. In Good condition.
