Supermen of America Patch (DC, c. 1940). For collectors of early Superman premiums and memorabilia, the Supermen of America cloth patch ranks high. Originally offered to kids who recruited three others to join the club, the patch was available only through ads in Action Comics from late 1939 to early 1940. At last count, only about seven or eight patches have surfaced, making this one of the rarest Superman items. This example measures approximately 5.5" across, and is the nicest looking one we've seen, grading out at about Fine Minus. There is evidence of it being sewn on something at one point. Hake's Pop Culture Memorabilia Price Guide FN value = $5,500.
