    Description

Robert Crumb The Conspiracy Stomp Concert Poster (Aragon Ballroom, 1969). A genuine rarity: This Chicago concert poster is one of only two such images that Crumb drew (donated) during the period. The Conspiracy Stomp was a defense-fund event for the so-called Chicago Eight -- antiwar activists, charged with inciting to riot during the Democratic National Convention of 1968. Original first printing, 14" x 15.75". The comparative paleness of the colors, including a dark-purplish hue in the figure outlines, is intrinsic to the printing process, and not a result of fading. Near Mint condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
