Walt Disney-Signed Letter to Staff Sgt. Don Lusk (1943). Animator Don Lusk began with Disney in 1933. He was one of the few who went on strike in 1941 that were later welcomed back into the fold. In World War II, Don was drafted into the Marine Corps, working on training films. Walt had many of Don's fellow animators still in Burbank sign the inside covers of Dispatch from Disney's, the digest-sized magazine sent out to those in service, and this letter accompanied Don's copy of the booklet (which is also offered in this auction). The letter has a nice "Walt" signature from Walt Disney's own hand, signed in blue ink. The letter measures 7.25" x 10.5", on Walt Disney stationery. There are two fold creases, neither of which touch the signature. Very Good condition. From the Don Lusk Archives.
