Description

Bambi Studio-Printed Layout/Character Study Sheets Group of 7 (Walt Disney, 1942). "From careful cleanup on the delicate drawings of Snow White, Marc moved to story sketch and character design on Bambi because of his ability to draw animals." Marc Davis' (1913 - 2000) incredible ability to render animals, mentioned on page 176 of the famous book Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life, is fully showcased in this lot with a collection of seven fabulous studio-printed layout/character study sheets from Bambi. An amazing look into the backstage of the beloved film, these seven prints show the characters from the famous "twitterpated" scene at about the 49:28 timestamp. Each of these 14" x 16.5" sheets showcases the drawings by Marc Davis, displaying his great artistic skill to portray expressive images of the animal character, photographed and printed in photographic paper to be distributed in very limited quantities to be used among the movie's production team. Overall, the lot presents light age-related toning, minor warping, and light handling and edge wear from production use. In Very Good condition.
