"Moonlight" Limited Edition Giclée on 32" x 34" Canvas Signed by Disney Legend Peter Ellenshaw #AP1/12 (c. 1990s). This breathtaking Giclée on 32" x 34" canvas, titled Moonlight by Peter Ellenshaw, depicts a serene scene of moonlight reflecting off a river flowing through a canyon, with a small boat navigating the dimly lit waters. Ellenshaw's mastery of light and atmosphere is evident in this captivating piece, showcasing his talent for transforming landscapes into ethereal visions. Peter Ellenshaw's illustrious career spanned over seven decades, earning numerous accolades. He was inducted as a Disney Legend in 1993, and in 2017, posthumously honored by the Visual Effects Society's Hall of Fame. Ellenshaw's name also graces a window on Disneyland's Main Street, recognizing his contributions to Disney magic. In addition to his Disney work, Ellenshaw painted the iconic matte of Rome for Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus (1960) while continuing to work full-time for Disney. He contributed to television shows like Disneyland, Davy Crockett, Zorro and feature films including Mary Poppins (1964), for which he won an OSCAR® for Best Special Visual Effects.
