Michael H. Price Diddy Wah Diddy Blues-Band Poster including Virgil Finlay and M.C. Escher Engravings (Cremo Studios & Lone Star Printing Co., 1983). From a limited printing (100 known copies) of a live-music herald for the jazz-blues trio Diddy Wah Diddy, featuring D.M. "Slim" Richey -- later known as "the most dangerous guitar player in Texas." The occasion, at the Fort Worth Stockyards' Lone Star Chili Parlor, yielded the acclaimed album Diddy Wah Diddy Live! Hand-set metal type and extensive use of zinc pictorial engravings, including two Escher images and a Finlay ghost originally published in Weird Tales magazine. Image area, 14" x 22".
