Charlie Chaplin The Kid Auto Race Movie Poster (Keystone/Hennegan & Co., 1914). Incredibly, it's the only known copy of this important poster. Comedian Charlie Chaplin's second film, The Kid Auto Race, introduced his timeless "Little Tramp" character, so beloved by many generations of film fans. He established the character as a meddlesome spectator who darts in and out of the way of a real auto race, disrupting the event but causing the audience to roar with laughter. In this magnificent stone litho one sheet poster, he is seen in full regalia, wearing his derby, dustbroom mustache, and ill-fitting clothing, cane in hand. The poster measures approximately 27" x 41", and has been professionally restored to Excellent condition. It's been professionally matted and Plexiglas framed to an overall 52.5" x 38.5". From The Art of the Funnies Collection.
