Pokémon Tropical Mega Battle Phone Card "Articuno" (1999) PSA MINT 9. Only a Legendary Pokémon could do this extremely rare card justice, the Ice/Flying Legendary Bird Pokémon Articuno. The only way to get this card was to not get an invitation to the main event of the 1999 Tropical Mega Battle Tournament. That's right -- no invitation! Battles were held for the non-participants where they would earn a stamp each time they battled, and after they completed their stamp booklet, they were awarded one of three Pokémon Phone Cards that might include this prize. Only a few of these cards have ever come to market, so don't delay! Get one today! PSA has certified 13 copies of this card to date, with six earning MINT 9 grade and six graded higher. The artwork is by Ken Sugimori.
